It’s really okay to interrupt your psychotherapy clients. It’s actually very helpful. There are many benefits in stopping limiting stories and redirecting clients to speak in ways that open possibilities. People can learn to see that how they define things confines things. In therapy show your clients ways to interrupt that are not harshly confrontational. They will need these skills to interrupt their own limiting self-talk.
