Trainings
I can teach you to be an effective
psycho-educator.
Passion to teach
There is very little more enlivening to me than being in a room of smart and curious therapists who are wanting to become better in their work. It is a great privilege for me to gather a group of professionals and lead them in a discussion of effective and skillful psychotherapy. Since I’m an eclectic collector of what helps people grow and change, nothing feels better than sharing these ideas with others.
Favorite topics
Here is a list of my favorite topics to talk about with professional therapists.
- Restorative Self-Care – Explore various ways professional therapists can avoid burnout and keep themselves rejuvenated for their work.
- Healing Old Wounds – Help clients build a caring relationship with themselves using their past emotional injuries as the training ground for self-empathy, cognitive restructuring, and supportive care.
- The Fully Equipped Therapist – Explore psycho-educational tools for helping clients learn the time-tested strategies for self-care & enhancement.
- Moving from Lack to Plenty – Understand the nine areas of lack that clients often show up with in therapy. Learn methods to help move them from lack to plenty.
- Group Therapy Training – Examine how to add group therapy to your clinical practice. Remove roadblocks to the creation and sustainment of groups.
- Ethical Practice – Review the APA Ethical Standards for practice. Apply these principles to your current professional concerns.
